Work-Study

The mission of the Work-Study Program is threefold:

1. To assist the student in meeting the costs of post-secondary education by providing an opportunity for the student to earn money with part-time employment.

2. To stimulate and promote the learning of skills, responsibilities and attitudes related to the world of work in an educational setting; combining learning with work that will transfer into careers and vocations after college.

3. To provide economic manpower for operations on campus; hence keeping overall costs as low as possible to students.

Federal Work-Study

Federal Work-Study is a need-based program awarded to students who are eligible, based on the information they provide on the FAFSA.  It provides for on campus paid employment opportunities, providing a benefit to the student and to the university. A student’s work study earnings are not credited to their account, rather they are paid by check, each month, based on the hours worked. Federal Work Study Funding is limited and will only be available to students, who are eligible, on a first come first served basis. Preference will be given to those student's who file their FAFSA early in the Spring semester.
